Friends & Enemies

God has made us in his image, relational people who long for connection and friendship. Good friendships are sweet, and broken friendships are bitterly painful. In Proverbs we see that good friends are chosen intentionally, they don't gossip, they stick with you, and they speak the truth to you. And good friendships reflect God's covenant-making and truth-telling characters as well as honouring Jesus' work of forgiving us and loving his body (the church). So this wisdom from God to us in Proverbs is grounded in his character and massively beneficial if we live it out.
