Our classes are for 3 year old Kinder to Grade 1 and for Grade 2 to Grade 5. We follow a Gospel centred curriculum that takes the children from Genesis to Revelation over a number of years, building the Big Story of Jesus.

There is also a Youth specific ministry called BASIC (Brothers & Sisters in Christ) which runs at the same time as Kids Club.

Kids Club

Holiday Club is Kids Club during school holidays. It is an all-age program for children up to 12 years of age. This is a fun time of Bible based activities – it is quite OK to drop in for just one week during the holidays.

All volunteers who serve in ministries for children and youth at Ormond Anglican Church have a Clearance for Service from the Diocese of Melbourne and training in Safe Ministry with Children and Young People. If your children are coming along for the first time you might like to come out into the program with them, to settle them in & just see what goes on. (Sometimes an extra pair of hands can be really helpful too!)

We welcome enquiries about Baptism (please contact the office). Baptisms take place as a part of one of our regular Sunday services.

Also view our church Calendar for other scheduled events and activities.

COMPLICATED runs during the sermon at our 6 PM service for youth in years 8 to 10. Students can study the sermon passage in a small group of their peers, enjoy good company, good food, and grow in your understanding of scripture.

No signup required just come along and check it out.

Boys’ Group

What is Boys Group? Boys Group is a lot of fun! – fun for boys in Years 2-8. It is a mid week club for boys at the church & is the usual mix of games, activities, learning time & food! Boys Group meets on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm – 8.00pm at the church.

We aim to build friendships between the boys who come and to provide them with positive role models as they grow. Boys Group (previously CEBS) has been a part of life at Ormond Anglican Church for the last 50 years. Our current leader, Bruce Anderson has been running Boys Group at Ormond Anglican Church for over 30 years (and keeps coming back for more!)

What do we do at Boys Group? Lots of great things like games nights, woodwork, craft and cooking. We regularly involve the dads (last time we did that we learned how to change a tyre on the family car!) & invite guests along to run special nights. Recently, we have enjoyed learning about the physics of music, storm chasing and chemistry with household chemicals. We have also been bowling and done some group cooking in the church kitchen.

Everyone can enjoy Boys Group! Each Wednesday is focused around an activity or theme aimed at teaching the boys a life skill or Christian value.

What does Boys Group cost? Boys Group is only $2 a night, or $10 for a school term (paid up front).
