Youth

term-2-flyer-2016

Our weekly youth program (for years 7-12), ‘GLUE SAndWICH’, runs on Friday Nights from 7.30pm-10pm and involves times of fun, community building and learning about and experiencing God in a variety of ways. We aim to help youth experience the love of Jesus through exploring the bible’s teachings and help pave the way to receive and grow in this love that Jesus has shown us. Our hope is that we would equip many youth to share this good news with their world.

Ormond Anglican youth will take part in the Victorian Christian Youth Convention (VCYC) at Belgrave Heights in May. This an opportunity to gather with hundreds of youth from all over Victoria united by our awesome God and be taught from his word, experience him through worship and be part of a movement of young people committed to living passionately for Jesus every day.

In August each year we participate in World Vision’s 40 Hour Famine to raise much needed funds for those unable to afford even the most basic needs of human life.

For youth who attend with their families a Bible study known as ‘EPIC FAIL’ is run during the 10.45am Sunday Service.

Youth also serve in a variety of ways at Katalyst Community, the congregation of Ormond Anglican that meets at 5pm on Sundays.
