Youth

We have heaps of ways for youth to engage in the life of Ormond Anglican. Over the week we have three programs designed for youth – GLUE SANDWICH, BASIC & Mustard, as well as many ministries we partner with such as CMS & VCYC.

Our weekly youth program (for years 7-12), ‘GLUE SANDWICH’, runs on Friday Nights from 7.30pm-10pm and involves times of fun, community building and learning about and experiencing God in a variety of ways. We aim to help youth experience the love of Jesus through exploring the bible’s teachings and help pave the way to receive and grow in this love that Jesus has shown us. Our hope is that we would equip many youth to share this good news with their world.

BASIC (Brothers & Sisters in Christ) is a Bible study for high school students during the 10.45am Sunday Service.

We are working our way through The Gospel Project which is a 3 year curriculum taking students all the way through the Bible.

Mustard is a Christian ministry who exist to empower young people to be fully alive forever.

Mustard is run at many schools during school lunchtimes including McKinnon Secondary College, Caulfield Grammar and Kilvington Grammar. You can enquire about running a lunchtime group at your school by contacting Mustard.

Ormond Anglican youth will take part in the Victorian Christian Youth Convention (VCYC) at Belgrave Heights ever year. This an opportunity to gather with hundreds of youth from all over Victoria, be taught from his word, experience him through worship and be part of a movement of young people committed to living passionately for Jesus every day.

Youth also serve in a variety of ways at both the 10.45 & 5pm Service on Sundays.
